The Lotoha'apai Soccer Club from Veitongo continued their dominance in the Major League Competition of the Tonga Football Association for 2006.

Finals of the U17 and First Divisions and also the final round robins for the Second Division and the Premiers were all being played at the Football headquarter at Valungofulu in Veitongo on Saturday.

In the U17 Lotoha'apai beat Navutoka 1-0 in extra time to claim the top prize while Lotoha'apai's First Division side beat 'Ahau 2-0 in their final match and although the Marists pulled the biggest upset of the championship by beating Lotoha'apai 4-0 in their final round in the Premiers, the boys from Veitongo still clinched the top spot by finishing top in the table.

The Marists had another good news after claiming the Second Division's top prize by finishing on top of the table after their round robins.

All except for the women's division have finished their season, with the women's teams finishing their final round this week before deciding the semi final spots, but at the moment the Marists are still leading the table.
